Tarek El Molla Reviewing Atoll Gas Field Status

Tarek El-Molla, Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Resources chaired the meeting of higher committee of Atoll Natural Gas field development for following up the progress of the work being carried out at Atoll gas field with total investments worth $ 3.8b. in BP’s North Damietta offshore concession. The field is expected to begin the production by the end of this year.
The meeting was held in the presence of first Undersecretary of the Ministry for Gas Affairs, the Chairman of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), the Chairman Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), the Vice President of EGAS for Production and Development, the chairman of Petrojet, the Chairman of the Pharaonic Petroleum; which manages and executes the project, and Hesham Mekkawy, the Regional President, North Africa, BP, Egypt.

Petrojet Chairman Eng. Salah Ismail met with  Mr. Oscar Guerra CEO of Rosetti Marino accompanied by Mr. Alberto Basso Sales Manager, and Mr. Claudio Tarenzi Technical Services Sales Manager at Petrojet House to discuss mutual cooperation on domestic and regional opportunities.

 

El Molla Visits Sumed’s Ain Sukhna Products Hub”ASPH”

Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, visited on Sunday, 9th July 2017 Sumed HUB terminal at Ain Sokhna “ASPH” in Red Sea and its marine facilities to follow up on the pre-commissioning work in the terminal and facilities

Petrojet scope of work includes establishing pipe rack above a 2.5km jetty and 19-meter depth, which will be capable of accommodating petroleum products tankers as well as LPG carriers. In addition, Petrojet will establish LPG system.

The project further includes LNG carriers, product carriers, and three anchors to receive floating storage regasification unit (FSRU), as Egypt already received a FSRU in June 2016, SUMED’s Head, Eng. Mohamed Abdel Hafez, stated.

He further explained that the project also has a number of storage tanks with total capacity 295,000 cubic meters to store mazut and diesel, along with other offshore and onshore facilities. The project also includes pumping butane to the national grid, which will be running by 2019.

The project is one of the important projects executed in the Egyptian energy field, which aims to secure local growing demands for refined petroleum products and natural gas, stated El Molla. In addition, the project will contribute in turning Egypt into an energy regional hub.

The global safety day annual event was organized by the Arab Foundation for Development and Capacity Building. It was held under the patronage of the Prime Ministry to launch the first HSE memorial in Alexandria to raise the awareness for the HSE importance nationally.  During the event, and for the first time, ambassadors for good deeds have been chosen and awarded.

Diwan Book Fair
In fulfilling the company’s approach in caring for it employees- under the “We Care Program”-, Petrojet has organized a book fair with Diwan bookshop at the Main Office building. The event showcased various kinds of books like literature, religious and children’s books. The book shop offered a discount from 15 to 20% for Petrojet’s employees.

Petrojet completes Zohr offshore platform ahead of schedule

Petrojet managed to complete manufacturing the offshore platform of Zohr gas field (4) months before the due date.

Under the patronage of the Minister of Petroleum Tarek El-Molla, Petrojet’s Chairman and Managing Director Salah Ismail inaugurated the launching of Zohr platform, which weighs about 6,000 tons and was manufactured at Petrojet’s Marine manufacturing yard in Alexandria for Petrobel.
Zohr gas field is operated by Belayim Petroleum Company (Petrobel), a joint venture between the International Egyptian Oil Company (IEOC) and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC).

The inauguration was preceded by a meeting that brought together officials from Petrojet and Petrobel. The meeting included a short brief on the yard’s history and the key projects that have been carried out there since its establishment.in addition to a detailed presentation on the manufacturing process of Zohr offshore platform at Maadia Yard.

After the inauguration, all the officials from both companies and the workers had Iftar together where Petrojet’s Chairman Salah Ismail thanked all the workers at Maadia yard for their hard work and success in this new achievement that will be added to petrojet’s records.

In May, Minister of Petroleum Tarek El-Molla said Zohr gas field will be connected to the national gas grid in its first phase before the end of 2017.

Egypt targets the production of 2.7 billion cubic feet per day from Zohr by 2019, which is equivalent to half of the country’s current gas production.
