Petrojet together with Pharaonic Petroleum claims the Sail away of the first campaign of deepwater structure in Atoll Offshore field developmemt project which was fabricated in Petrojet’s Maadia Yard.
Petrojet succeeded in completion the fabrication, painting, and load-out of three suction piles in 3 months.
Tarek El-Molla, Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Resources chaired the meeting of higher committee of Atoll Natural Gas field development for following up the progress of the work being carried out at Atoll gas field with total investments worth $ 3.8b. in BP’s North Damietta offshore concession. The field is expected to begin the production by the end of this year.
The meeting was held in the presence of first Undersecretary of the Ministry for Gas Affairs, the Chairman of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), the Chairman Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), the Vice President of EGAS for Production and Development, the chairman of Petrojet, the Chairman of the Pharaonic Petroleum; which manages and executes the project, and Hesham Mekkawy, the Regional President, North Africa, BP, Egypt.

Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, visited on Sunday, 9th July 2017 Sumed HUB terminal at Ain Sokhna “ASPH” in Red Sea and its marine facilities to follow up on the pre-commissioning work in the terminal and facilities
Petrojet scope of work includes establishing pipe rack above a 2.5km jetty and 19-meter depth, which will be capable of accommodating petroleum products tankers as well as LPG carriers. In addition, Petrojet will establish LPG system.
The project further includes LNG carriers, product carriers, and three anchors to receive floating storage regasification unit (FSRU), as Egypt already received a FSRU in June 2016, SUMED’s Head, Eng. Mohamed Abdel Hafez, stated.
He further explained that the project also has a number of storage tanks with total capacity 295,000 cubic meters to store mazut and diesel, along with other offshore and onshore facilities. The project also includes pumping butane to the national grid, which will be running by 2019.
The project is one of the important projects executed in the Egyptian energy field, which aims to secure local growing demands for refined petroleum products and natural gas, stated El Molla. In addition, the project will contribute in turning Egypt into an energy regional hub.
